NASPAA is excited to announce the fifth class of NASPAA NEXT is now accepting nominations. NASPAA NEXT will be a part of the NASPAA’s 2020 Virtual Annual Conference on Wednesday, October 14. The three-hour workshop (1pm to 4pm Eastern Daylight Time), will provide emerging leaders in their departments or programs with practical tools that will enable them to become more engaged and dynamic members of their campuses and communities. Participation in NASPAA NEXT is by invitation only, and invitations are based on recommendations from deans and other senior faculty, professional reputation and scholarly research, as well as participation in NASPAA activities. #NASPAA2020 will be an entirely new online experience that combines webinars and networking. The 2020 conference will be NASPAA’s first-ever VIRTUAL conference and occur as originally planned on Wednesday Oct. 14, Thursday Oct. 15, and Friday, Oct. 16.
This year’s theme, “Building the New Civic Square”, is clearly timely and significant to every program. NASPAA received a record number of panel proposals this year! This is an amazing testament to the NASPAA community and public service education, and it reinforces the importance of our annual conference as an opportunity to convene – there are important issues, ideas, and research to discuss.
